If it were my business, I'd want to get paid too! If nitro will draw a larger turnout on saturday than electric, then guess what, I'd be running on saturday too. Keeping the place open and making money is more important than just a few racers. Majority will always rule, that's how things work in our economy, lol. I may slightly disagree in that there might not be enough racers now to make 3 heats in my classes, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. I give bernie 2 thumbs up!

solve the issue -
03-27-2006, 06:08 PM
Here's how I solved the issue of what days to race for the three of us. For racing we own:
3- on road electric sedans 3- tamiya mini coopers electric 3- on road nitro sedans 4- off road electric trucks and buggies 1- Savage 1- 1:8 scale Mayhem It took me about a year and a half to get all the vehicles for the three of us. But now depending on what day we can race I grab the vehicles and gear for that day's type of racing. Point being...we enjoy racing, and I didn't want what day it is to keep us from racing. So some Saturday's it's mini cooper racing, some sunday's it's on road. The thing that usually gets in the way isn't Leisure's schedule, it's my personal schedule and family commitments. |

True I have not been to Leisure since it's reopened. TC season carpet season is winding down and many of the guys were thinking of running offroad. But most of the guys I know are from Chicago and further north. So making a trek to Leisure on a Friday is close to impossible. I've considered selling my XXX4 to get a Nitro something but I usually don't like the nitro racing scene. Either way I know that the ultimate decision is based on current turnouts and you can't beat the trend of latest MTs and 1/8th cars on the market. I think what Leisure and Bernie are doing with this new schedule is still good because it helps keep the doors open at one of the nicest facilities. And hey if it helps pay for the outdoor onroad track........I'm all for that! LOL :P Bernie tell Darrin I need help with nitro engines :P Kenji I like you solution LOL I think I'm close but too loaded on the electric TC side. |

Maybe next Friday we'll be going. You want to tag along with us? We leave the 16th District about 3pm and we're back usually by midnight or 1am depending on when the races are over. I keep a jug in the back of the van in case you gotta go. I hate making pit stops in Friday afternoon rush hour traffic. HA! |
