i think what tex is refuring to is that a loaner has ben known to have
glitches in the system,aka- people not returning in time, not registering on the line,or even falling off the vehicle. getting a personal for the investment has alot of benifits. which some people who may take racing more serious worth the money i personaly race for the fun of it. but got a personal trans to eliminate the above problems, for me thats fine Track Steward for MWNX "Racing is bumping, just don't drive like Steve Wonder!" |

Well I will start at the top. it's a deposit, not a rental fee. and a driver liscense which will be returned when you done for the night. unless you don't return it and when I'll keep the 5 for the inconvenice you cost us. and I'll have your liscense so I can get a hold of you. House transponders must be charged for 30 hours before we use them, so bringing them back the next race day that transponder can not be use that weekend. someone said they didn't see new transponders in the rack. Better look again. we have five new transponders and we are still missing two which we hope will be returned soon. both out of state. House transponders cost a lot more then personals. why should we have to pay for new one when we do not use them. some one who races one or two times a month will miss their liscense before they find they have a transponder. With the way personals are going. I see NO tracks with house transponders. It will be personals only.

I think a pre-paid card would be cool. However... the task at hand. I see that being a fine solution and by no means unreasonable. If you don't have $5 that you can hand them to allow you to use a transponder knowing that you will get the money back if you are responsible then this is not the hobby you should be in. I bought a PT before I even started racing. It is still the best investment.

prepaid, like you get 10 race days but you pay for 9 upfront. Just a card that the race director can punch holes in as you use each day of racing.
999, easability, I think a P/T would be mandatory equipment if your a serious racer just for the fact it makes it <insert easy button here>. Not only have I been late for heats and races due to waiting on other racers with loaners but I've ran whole race days where the loaners didn't work and I wasted all my time and money. This is not to mention the times it has fell out of the vehicle mid race. My P/T was the best thing I've ever purchased in the hobby and spektrum will be next. Two great things that make your day go soooo much easier. If you want to continue to use loaners then go ahead and deal with all the hassels, it's your time and money, not mine. If you have never owned a P/T then you haven't seen the light, I don't care how much you imagined using one. Until you do you can't say how much time you would save or how loaners aren't that bad. You don't know. |

well said, i think the deposit is a great idea, im not sure if 5 will be enough though. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for Ford, our tools would rust. |
