Cool, thanks Gabe!

Mark all stupid questions answered, for now. At least those are two more things I can pretend to know about next time I am there.

and for the heats it's a rolling start meaning you can start anywhere on the track because your time doesn't actually start ticking until you cross the line.
SO....you could be at one side of the track and I could be on the other side of the track and the computer will still count our times/laps correctly.

So since you're running for best time and not "racing" any one truck, the heats could get nicely spaced out and everyone could possible run nice times. Or does it become a little more dicey than that?

it becomes dicey because if your right behind me in the start I'm going to lap you before the 5 mins is up
...naw but seriously, yeah you still pass and stuff because not everyone is a equal driver......hence the heats before the mains so the fast guys can run with the fast guys/ visa versa

Its too bad most people do not understand this concept though.
Even though its usually explained in the drivers meeting before the races start, people still insist on piling up at the starting line as the timer counts down to "go"...then they all crash into each other on the first few turns

It can get dicey on the start for sure becasue of the above problem.
So... I usually always stay back and cross the line last, and hope that the heard thins out by the time I catch them
