The universals from the HB lightning 2 would probably work too. Seeing as how many of the kyosho 7.5 parts work on the HB lightning series cars.
Half of my old LSP was Kyosho 7.5 aluminum stuff. Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |

The truggy CVD's wouldn't. However the buggy CVD's will. HB diffs are interchangable with kyosho diffs. Since all competition legal buggies are limited to the same F/R track width the it follows that most should have interchangable front and rear CVD's. Difference between differential width assemblies would change that, but since the Kyosho and HB diffs can be swapped, the cvd's should be as well.
My LSP used LST shafts and sportwerks boots to make the cvd's while using kyosho 7.5 based aluminum hubs. Worked fine. Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |

the truggy cvds are longer than the buggy ones, you have it backwards

I was just using my truggy as an example of what fits between the HB Lightning series and the Kyosho 7.5 based RC's. The IGT is based on the 7.5, as is the Inferno ST RTR. The Lightning buggies, and the Lightning Stadium Pro truggies share tons of parts with the 7.5 based stuff. The toe plates, castor plates, hubs, and many front suspension parts. They aren't made by the same companies but the parts fit fine. My entire LSP front end hub assembly was built from Topcad CNC stuff made for the Kyosho 7.5 buggy. You can see some pics here: LSP Gallery The very first picture is of Topcad 7.5 hubs, and steering knuckles with proline 23mm adapters. The cvd's are LST shafts, and sportwerks boots using the hotbodies cvd internals. With the rest of the pics you can see that it installed fine on the truck.
