try a MC59 = hot plug
The Traxxas super heavy duty which came in the 3.3 was a medium hot plug, whatever that means. When I ran the 2.5 I used MC59 and all was good. the 2.5 came with a medium plug.

I always ran MC59 in my 2.5R, buddies ran MC59s in their 3.3's. I actually found that the associated version of the mc59 was like half the price of the mccoy/OS plugs and work ok.

Revo - 2.5R conv to 3.3 spec (sans motor), picco 26 max that shreds spurs, RC10B4 Factory Team - Mamba Max 5700, Team Orion lipo. Breaking A-arms everyday!
RC10 Championship Edition - retired, bought in '90 with paper route money (I'm old school!)
