im not too familiar with the tmaxx tranny, but im sure its not too different than a savage tranny,

on the case, you should see a little rubber plug, take that plug off and look for the adjsutment screw. clockwise will make it shift later, countercockwise will make it shift earlier.

but before you go screwing with that. take the truck off the ground so the wheels spin freely. and give it throttle gradually. listen closely for the shift. and then adjust it in whichever direction it needs to be adjusted.

make sure when you put the allen key in the hole you aret urning the right screw thre are 2 screws in there, 1 turns the shift point and the other holds the clutch set up to the shaft

how do you tell which one your turning? easy

the hole is top dead center of the gear and if you try turning th scrww that aligns straight in then you got the wrong one, the shift poing screw is on an angle so the allen key actually goes a little to the side of the gear but still in the geart, its kinda hard to describe it, but i think yuou will be able to tell what im talking about after looking at it
