what car to get -
04-04-2007, 02:48 AM
Hi every one
Just found you guys. I got my kid an electric pede now i have the bug and would like to get a nitro car. any suggestions. I like his car. I would like something with some speed , durable (well something with reasonable priced parts when you do break something) something more for bashing jumping etc. and probably the most important something for a begginer to learn to work on etc. not sure if some are more complicated to work on than others. Thanks in advance, iam sorry if this was the wrong section to post a question like this but couldnt really figure out which forum was the right one Thannks |

if you want something durable i would get a buggy or a truggy, they may look complicated but they really are quite simple and strong as nails

Though not cheap a Savage is an excellent MT for bashing, far stronger stock than the Traxxas offerings though the Revo and the Tmaxx will be faster on top end. A Revo is also decent, but $$$, about the same price as a Savage. For buggies there are several Entry level buggies priced between $220 and $300 RTR, and several RTR's above $300 that are excellent quality and have tons of upgrades. OFNA, Hot Bodies, and a few others make decent ones for under $300. For truggies you can pick up a Hot Bodies LSP RTR for about $370 I think which is a 1/8th scale truggy. You can find a Pro competiton version of this new as a roller for $270. __________________________________ Carbo, since you are interested in the Bussebash I say hold off on your decision, we have a variety of vehicles out there to look at so you can see the differences up close between them and then make a better choice as to what you want. Revo, Tmaxx, Savage, Truggy, Buggy (lots of brands to choose from there). It'll be a little different than seeing them on a shelf, cause we'll be beating the snot out of them. ![]() Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |

yes its hard looking in the store. seeing them is probably the best. Ive been doing some looking and saw that revo a little pricey also the jato 3.3 looks insane. boy I would have to do some talking to the wife
. also seeing its my first nitro also dont want to get in over my head and not be able to enjoy it. |

In that case a MT would probably suit you more, or a Truggy. Both would allow you to deal with just about any terrain you encounter.
Com'n out and see what we got and you can decide yourself what type of RC you want. I wouldn't recommend a Jato if you want to do any offroading at all, its pretty much useless even in short grass. Little Toys: Hyper One Seven | Inferno GT | Jammin X1cr | Jammin CRT Pro | 1989 Batmobile Replica |

i have been looking at the savage x rtr. hpi has so many different ones it gets confusing. also been looking at the new rustler with the 3.3 motor not sure on that. keep reading conflicting things about it seems like people either hate them or love them. whats your guys opinions on the savage and rustler?
the best price so far on the savage is 390 and the rustler is like 310. its funny you start looking at a firstorm for 289 then see a rustler for 310 then the savage then the revo and its easy to keep justifying the extra 50 or 100 dollars for the next truck up. heck by the time iam done i will have one of those baja 5bs those look like fun |

Stay away from the rustler! My bro has one and It's been taken out by a small rock! I would say go with either a Savage x, Revo, or a Team Losi LST 2. All monster trucks and they are all pretty durable and easy to work on!
