As long as you don't have a modded OS then you are welcome to the 2yr warrenty.

If it blows, send it to OS, and get a new one back. Something to consider. I've had 2 30vg's, and the guy I sold my 2nd 30vg to sent it to OS and he got a new 30vg back. I was at the 1 gallon mark with the first one (bought it used), OS replaced the first one so I got a new 30vg for free. Ran about 6 gallons through the 2nd 30vg before the bug for more power bit me again. Sold the 2nd 30vg for $100, guy sent it to OS, and got a brand spankin new 30vg back, $6 shipped.

$106 for a brand new $230 engine. Hard to beat that.

OS has a good warrenty. If you can deal with the possibility of an engine failure and waiting 2 weeks for a new one then the OS will be fine.

Would they cover the TZ motor when it has a TM crank in it?
I know some will say 'just change the cranks back if you send it back' But anyone that knows motors would see the TZ crank is brand new in a busted up case.

I don't think they would care as long as the motor was complete.

Having fun again!!!!

So run the TZ crank?

Thats the thing about modding an engine. You void the warrenty. You might be able to send it in and have them not notice it.

You could always trade someone a new TZ crank for a used TZ crank, and keep that around if you ever have to send it in.

The guy I sold my 30vg to cut off the starting shaft pin from the PS crank, and put a bump start backplate on it. Something went wrong in the process and the engine completely lost compression. So he sent it in WITH the modified crank. This was originally a PS engine, and he got a new bump start version back.

Course, I'm all Nova'd out with both my RC's right now.

OS isn't too picky about their warranties.

modding has nothing to do with what BAM wants to do... He simply wants to run a NON-modified TM crank in a NON-modified TZ. If he ever needs warrenty work he will have to convert the TZ back to stock crank/bump and they won't say anything.

Yup. Thats just what I would do. I was planning on selling the TZ crank after I converted everything. But this makes more sense. So I would keep both cranks to be able to still have warranty work done.
