oh and about the piston color, that was running lean aka too hot. dark brown (or better yet, light brown) is the color a piston should be after running at a good temp. (the piston will be green if you run Blue Thunder)
Black piston means= too hot. A grey, dry glow plug= too hot. If it walks like a duck.............. RBS5 RB2045 All Futaba |

my pistons always look black like that and i never run my stuff too hot

I should take a pic of my 3.3 piston after 2+ gallons, it has a nice brown C on it and is not black whatsoever.
