I do think that Traxxas will only warranty the motor if you use their fuel (Top Fuel). Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Byrons isn't better because it has 4% more oil than Trinity. If more oil is better, then run 10%. I wouldn't worry about the 4% difference if you are already using the Trinity and know how to tune. |

im not sure about which fuel you should use, but i have heard that a lot of the fuel that is made in the states doesnt uses less fuel than everywhere else, and that is what someone said was causing the O.S. .18 to burn out so quickly? but hey just rumors as far as i know anybody tried the werks fuel?

I only had it overheat, because it was too lean, but other then that time it has been fine for me. it also gives more horsepower IMO if you run this fuel then make sure you have a temp gun because when I over heated, it didnt act like it was too lean and the temp. was 315. in my 2.5 it runs strong between 225-260 Losi 8ight with v-spec

ask that guy if he ever used that fuel and if so then ask him what the temps where.
if it was a customer who told the hobby guy that it will burn up your motor---then how would he know if it was not overheating? also I was in there and my diff case was a little stripped where the screw wasnt tightening and I said I would just put a bigger screw in. and he said no that wouldnt work and that i needed to buy a new diff case.so see some hobby guys are out to get your money and some dont know what they are talking about Losi 8ight with v-spec

Trinity platinum 30% is good stuff. That's what I use. Aint nothing wrong with 8% oil IMO. I've got no problems with my motors. Well, except for the ones that break no matter what fuel you run, lol.

As for the Traxxas Waranty, they say they will only waranty the engine if you run Top Fuel, but unless you tell them, there is really no way to tell. (Unless you run Blue Thunder fuel, which has been known to dye the engine internals Blue) |
