OK some of you may remember when I first came to this forum I plugged a battery wired for futaba into an airtronics reciever. Reciever went up in smoke.

This left me with a useless KO radio so I just recently bought a 75mhz FM hitec reciever hfs-03mt. When I power it all up, both servos twitch like crazy and the steering and throttle do nothing exept stop the twitching on the throttle servo at full throttle. Steering wheel has no effect on the other servo.

Now I read to use only Hitec crystals with their recievers. Is this true or just bs so they can sell their own crystals? What am I doing wrong?
