suggestions for esc for a RC10 Championship Edition -
01-09-2007, 09:55 PM
Well I am just about done w/ the top cat so on to the next project. I have an old rc10 championship edition buggy that i picked up off ebay a while back. The car is in really great condition other than it doesn't run(that can be a pretty big problem I am told.) I contacted AE and they told me I probably had to replace that green whatever it is w/ a new esc. I was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to a decent/reasonably priced esc speed control? I don't want to put a ton of money into the car as I am picking up my first nitro ride and would like to focus on that when it arrives.
thanks for any suggestions |

it is referred to as a mechanical-resistor type speed control.....total old school, but neat to watch it actutate, I would look for a used Novak Cyclone on E-bay, I think they are 450 continuous amps forward, they rock hard ![]() that's a cool kit man, I would love to see pics of that once you are done, I use to run modified RC10's with Race Prep motors way back in the day At R&R Hobby, I met Jay Halsey and Cliff Lett when they were running RC10's at R&R for Associated, After the RC10, I went to kyosho Optima 4wd......good luck on getting that baby going........Old school vintage ftw ![]() |
