I'd send it in to be repaired, it'll take a while to get back though though. Soldering it has produced some bad effects for people, and it will void the warranty.

Dam! It don't work after about 20-30 feet!!!
What should I do? Unsolder and send in, leave it and explain and send in, or sell as is on ebay??? Or wait no the guy who I bought it from is going to get an earfull! |

it isnt just a soder on. i checked mine and its almost like a small coaxial there is an outer and an iner wire. you should see a little plug in where it goes.
