Do I have to cut the antenna wire if I want it at its lowest point? or can I just bundle and tie the additional wire?

It says you can cut it in the directions. I just leave some wire in the receiver box.

I leave all the wire in the RX box. I have no problem with range or response. Every time I use a traditional antenna tube, the antenna gets ripped out of the receiver within 2 tanks.

I simply bend the tube down a little and let it rest against the inside of the body. Can't get ripped out that way .

Even when I do use an antenna tube, I don't let it stick out that far, and it still gets ripped. I'm going to stick with just having the antenna inside the box.

I leave my wire full length but bend the tube at a 90 degree angle so that it stays inside the bodies. I do trim the tube to fit the shorter antenna though.
