well around here "quad cities" in our "cruise groups" there are easy a dozen 10 sec street cars out at any given time on weekend nights..up here there are a few 13 sec cars and them are "slow" around here and of course you have your wanna be's that put fart cans on a z-28 and think they have a "racer" or whatever...h.p is very easy to make any more esp. with turbos,nitrous,and super chargers and even n/a cars are making loads of power for cheap take a stock 90 stang spend 2k on H/C/I some gears and a little spray your running low 11's high 10's easy.

I was running 12.20's in a stock 90 stang with a set of 4.56 gears and nothing else all in driving...anyways im not flaming anyone but if u only see 2-3 10 street cars then you dont have much of a "fast street care scene"

Tell you what you go ahead and bring the 90 stang with heads, cam, and an intake, sprayin, with your gear and I got a few Chevy and ford guys that would love to run yeah, and then if you have any money left I'll call up some import guys. HAHA Well thats if you make it past the Chevy guys without blowin up that 5.0 from over sprayin it. The chevy guys we got out here have some sick cars. But we do have alot of 10 sec. cars, most a trailer queens. But on the street 10's are hard to come by. Not much hookin on the street.

whitey dont worry I am not scared of some import guys or "chevy" guys..we also have a outlaw heads up 10.5 tire street legal mustang with a 598 chevy with pontiac big cheif heads and 3 stages of nitrous that runs high 7's and is fully street legal and weighs 3400 lbs...but im not going to turn this guys for sale thread into a damn pissing match. good day whitey tighty

Your definition of a "street car" is pretty loose then. Street Legal is one thing, but Street Car is another. You can sacrifice alot and still have a street legal car, but that doesn't mean you can run it cross country on the highway with decent fuel economy and reliability. The C6 Z06 makes 505hp, runs 11's and nets 30mpg. Sure, 500hp is easy, but 30mpg too? Its the only "supercar" that is exempt from the gas guzzler tax.

When you build a car like that let me know. Whether it be boost or n/a. Nitrous doesn't count because it runs out and has to be refilled. Boost is there as long as your on it, and n/a is n/a.

my stang didnt get 30 mpg but it got ruffly 19-21 and I drove it from iowa to misiouri to rogersville for a street car shoot out...im sorry but if u can drive it on the street then its a street car

our 7 sec stang may not get high mpg but it has working radio,dom light,door buzzer,horn etc etc etc and we take it to several cruises locally
