I have opened and looked at both of them. For the cost of the RTR you get a lot of buggy IMO, along with a spektrum system. However, the kit is REALLY nice. Nicer chassis, shock towers, and I think even the shocks themselves were different, but I could be wrong on that. If I had the cash I would definitely pick up the kit.
