My g-1 took a dump last night...I need a motor to hold me over till christmas. Nothing special, just a basic, even rtr motor. lmk.

Matt, instead of buying used motors and having them "dump" on you, why don't you just not race until you can use your 8ight and buy a OS VG.

+1 ue. if you buy a motor for next to nothing on ebay it will probably last till you start your first main and you hear the rod snap going down the back straight.

If I did that, I'd have to wait 45 days or so...with no r/c. I'm getting a VG for Christmas too....I just want something to hold me over until then

Welp, a coil from a glow plug went thru the motor. The sleeve is fine, but the piston has severe gouges in it. I am currently trying to fit a piston from my ws7 into the sleeve, it's too big right now so I'm sanding it with 1000 grit sandpaper to get it down to size. I figure if I get it right, it'll be like a new motor lol. Or it'll run like shit. IDK. Oh the pinch was gone on the motor too, I could push the piston 3/4 of the way out the top of the sleeve.
