Oh yeah, I took the back plate off the S3 to inspect the changes from the older version. The back plate is now factory looking. The BF BP is rather cheapish with a small o-ring siting on top of the plate. The S3 now resembles the BS 21SB and P5 type BP's were it is recessed with a big o-ring, very nice. It also has a P5 carb on it, not hte aluminum one like the BF and the crank is not the easily cracking type like the BF either. SO they are not the same, very different in construction with the ports. Hope this helps.

$150 for that S3 is a good deal folks. The local hobby shops will charge $180 for that motor. I just put an S3 in my buggy and I like it. Runs a little hot side (260-270ish), but runs good.
