Yes it does need a motor. It comes with an ajustable motor mount, so most ANY BB motor will fit in it.
As for a starter buggy for racing i would say yes for a couple reasons... This buggy has been very very durable and was raced at many dirt dawg races last year. The seller Balt71 Learned to race 1/8 with it and did ok for a beginer. Heres a link to Ofna's site about the Buggie... One thing though... The tank actully is 145 cc's http://ofna.com/95-violator.html It isnt the best race machine on the market but its simplicity and tough design makes it a great starter buggy for those new to racing --Then follow the rules! haha!-- -Tune |

Sure you can. Intermediate buggy allows bigger than .21 motors. I'm pretty sure no one will complain at leisure either, being as they don't have a intermediate to run in. They just run them all together (advanced and intermediate).
