Real Flight G2 - 10-31-2004, 09:49 AM

Any Real Flight G2 users here? I had so much fun flying the planes on this software that i bought a used trainer setup a few weeks back. I can fly every plane on it...so it will be interesting to see what will happen in real life....

I used the RF2 for about 6 months. I recently sold it when I found RF3 was coming out. I'm into nitro heli's, what kind of trainer did you pick up ? When the weather warms up again, you come out to the flying feild at Irving and Cumberland and fly with some of the other guys. You'll need a AMA card to fly there.

I've had Realflight G2 for a couple weeks now.
The airplanes aren't too hard to fly. The heli's
are a different story.

I like setting the view to "pilot in aircraft" and
flying between the trees at high speed!!!

Ya cant wait for g3 to come out. The trainer is a hanger 9 EasyFly 40 and i hope to do lots of flying next spring. I like to set the game to where the camera is in a fixed position in the pits, little or no zoom. I think it most challenging this way. My favorite plane has to be the ultrasport. And yes the helis are tuff!!Pretty soon i will start working on them, someday i want to get one of those mini helis, there so neat.

I don't know which one I downloaded, but I was able to play using my keyboard. The planes weren't hard, but like stated above, the helis were a different story. I want to get a mini heli sometime to be able to use indoors.

ATA just wanted to let u know there is a field at army trail and 59 that i fly at. I would def. recommend that you use a buddy box the first time out even if u have mastered the sim. also have one of the regulars there check ur plane out first, better than figuring out why u crashed. finally the last thing i could tell u is dont be afraid to ask someone for help!

I got the G2 and like it very much. If you fly the aircraft from the pilot seat then it is very very easy to fly. It just like avideo game from that view. Try setting it like real life were your standing on the ground and looking in the air to see the aircraft, it a much different story then. The G2 is what I used to fine tune my landings and now I'm very comfortable landing the aircraft.

SnakeBite where is this place you fly at exactly? I would like to come out when it gets warm and talk to some people with experience flying big heli's. Do you know any guys out there that do any RC heli Aerial photo work?

I have been researching larger scale RC Helicopters for Aerial Photography for architecture lately. We have had some clients come to us looking for low level aerial photography that an RC helicopter would be perfect for. Real helicopters are fun, but we are restricted to certain altitudes and cannot exceed. I'm still in the, how can I mount a Canon 1DS MKII (which is heavy) and still pan 360º mode. But I would like to add this capability to our studio.
