Ok, I decided to great a Xmod from Radio Shack. Word of advice, don;t waste your money, I had to return it 3 times and the third time they actually sold me one that someone already returned. SO today I will return that third one and just get my money back, and maybe just get another 1/18th scale car or truck instead. (it is was all becasue the girl behind the counter was pretty darn hott, yeah that was it )

that sucks....I heard they were kinda fun. Are they a kit or RTR when you buy?

They are RTR when you first buy them. then they sell all the hop-ups. I got and I think its cool driving around the house. =)

Get a gen 1 xmod, with the batts on the sides of the car. They're much better- you can get lots more mods and stuff off ebay than you can for the gen2 cars, because of the way they're setup.

ya they r fun just to have and like when ur bored or wut not, i got the evo truck...pretty cool. u can get like a lift kit and like stuff so they become pretty fun just to have aas a fun little drive around the house while the game is on car.

BTW the gen 1 cars are like the skyline the rsk and the civics and the supra, gen 2 are like the muscle cars and the nsx, then gen 3 is the subaru wrx then theres evo. and parts are interchangeable between gen 1 2 and 3 but not throught gen 1 2 and 3 and evo. soactually gen 1 cars can be interchanged with gen 2 and gen 3 parts exact same chassis just different body. and they are not interchangeable with xmods evo the new ones. i kno this cuz i got into rc's when my friend got an xmod then i got one and ya....just went from there...

It's a minor assembly "kit". You just put on the wheels and body and it ready to play.

We have one and added 4wd, foam tires, springs, stage 2 motors. Now it's kinda fun, even with just stock 4 aaa's rechargeables. With more batt's I hear they can really get moving. Good indoor fun for around $100, IMO.

We got ours handling and accelerating pretty well. Now we just need longer run time. We are only using 700mah batts.

I have a gen 1 Supra. Used it a few times. Kinda fun. Bought the steering upgrade.

if you got connections with the manager you can get returned ones that some times the prob is as simple as wrong gears, wire came off the battery so like you can get a perfectly good xmod with like one solder to do for like 10 bux its amazing....but ya i got a supra among some others.

and there pretty durable my and north shore racer drove my skyline off his roof and it still works. and it can drive with only 3 wheels

ha u gotta post that video online we did more than just drive it off a roof PLEASE PUT IT ONLINE!!! theres a bit of swearing but i think you can handle it its so hilarious and i hammer throw a nikko crap car into a tree....its still there from when we did that like last winter or spring or summin....

we are staying away from blatent cussing now... we are trying to make for a more friendly board where everyone from kids to adults can enjoy it.

I'm sure the vid is cool but please take the sound out if there is cussing...

ya i cant find it and there isnt that much swearing just the occasional when u drop kick an xmod wearing converse it kinda hurts but i cant find it so hopefully notochord can.
