Flying around Thanksgiving - 10-31-2005, 01:13 PM
Hi Guys, I'll be in Chicago for a couple of weeks around thanksgiving time. Is there a flying field that will be open during that time?

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Naperville has a field and so does St. Charles.

Look up Fox Valley Aero Club and Naperville Aero. It's prolly gonna be pretty chilly here in 3 weeks. But you can try.

Thanks, I'm not there yet and I'm freezing already. But If I get to see some good flying, it'll be worth it.

In the city of Chicago they fly off Irving Park Rd.
google search it, you might find some info

There's a flying field in addison. You can contact al's hobby shop for more info. Ask for someone in the airplace/helicopter department. They'll obviously have the most info avail.

Palatine also has a field for flying. It's in the forrest preserve distric of cook county.
