Allison had no problem driving the crawler through the store and possibly drove the owner nuts. We had a great time! Thanks.
I second that! My wire came off my motor and they were right there letting me go in the back to use their soldering gun. They were VERY accomidating and friendly. I wish the store was closer than an hour and a half away cause they would definatly be getting some business from me!

Bill (the owner) seem to be kind of a hard guy to read but, one of the nicer and more accomidating shop owners in the area. Leading up to the comp I had been trying to stay in touch with him and I was VERY suprised how excited they were to be hosting a comp. If more hobbyshop owners were like Bill and Mike (HT Naper) I think the online stores would get far less bussiness.

May be out of the way for some but Ken in morris is a SUPER nice guy and was gonna let us build a mini track for 18ths in his back room. I wonder if he'll do the comp thing. He was gonna charge everyone 5 bux though. If ya'll would be interested in that I can arrange a meeting probably or John (stratcat) maybe bubba too could. All three of us are regulars there. He's a very down to earth person always willing to do whatever he can to help you out.

It is GREAT that both of those locations carry the "stock" parts for our trucks and do all that they can to support crawling. They are at least able to get us back on the rocks with what they carry. Naperville HT is on the right track with creating an ordering relationship with RC4WD. It might be cool if RC Hobbies started a similar relationship with TCS. BOTH of these "online" vendors carry some differing stock....so it would not cause a blatent conflict between the 2 retail stores in terms of custom part support.....both Naperville guys could get a nice piece of the crawler pie. Guys who need heavy duty steel/aluminum parts could hit HT...and guys who need suspension parts, links, chassis, electronics, and Axial Trans based digs could hit RC Hobbies. I know that this sounds idealistic, but we want BOTH of these local guys to have success....and we all want access to the parts / support that our trucks require. Maybe something along these lines could work. I like to dream big.

Yep that'd be the best way to do it, we'd all benefit from that! Good thought Josh!
