Well, it's stopped raining and the sun is trying to peek through the clouds. So I'm going to DeVry.
Hell, it's a monster truck right?!! What's a little mud? If someone has a pushbroom that might be a good thing to bring. Notochord, I agree. My body doesn't like early mornings. It's very hard, almost impossible, to get up at 5:45am if I'm going to work. Strange though, it's very easy if I'm going racing!!!!!! |

brian from big squid rc was there filming some video.
I had fun today even though my truck was never officially running. I had mistakely put the piston in the wrong way when I tore it down to check everything and I could barely even start it. I wouldn't idle at all. Finally fixed it, but ever tightened some screws while messing with the carb (thinking it was the problem earlier) and stripped it out. Stupid composite carb! I'm gonna take traxxas up on their trade in deal and pick up a new 2.5R motor and give them my junk one. "If you cook scallops in a non-stick pan, then they won't stick. A all new 2.5R (which I run good with) is only $100 w/ their replacement deal. The TM is gonna cost a little over $200, plus another $15-20 (not sure) for a backplate.
The only reason mine broke, is because I messed it up. Won't happen again (I hope). Money is slightly tight these days, so the 2.5 is a better option for me. As much as I want a TM, it's gonna have to wait. "If you cook scallops in a non-stick pan, then they won't stick. That's why they call it NON F@#*$&%G STICK!!!" - Im watching YOU!- roc |

Get the TZ for $179. Read this thread http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...hreadid=266348
Or do what I did at first when using a bump start. Get the TZ (P)-T w/ the 11K slide carb. It was a near drop in. No grinding crank fins, no screwy carb linkage changes, I just had to put 2 thin shims from the Ofna Shim kit on the shaft before putting on the stock flywheel, trimmed the inner edges of the clutch shoes with a dremel, used an HPI clutch nut, and slightly elongated the tranny mount holes forward. It took a total of 1/2 hour and $10. I'd call that a near drop in. I'd now add-get the 3Racing motor mount!!! http://www.3racing.com.hk/ # RE-052/T If you get it you can move the motor back and won't have to elongate the tranny mounts but the littlest bit. |

It's not much at all and it is worth it. Like I said, $10 and a 1/2 hour for .4 HP more AND it's cheaper. Do what you want. I've got both and I prefer the TZ. The dyno has shown the difference.
