Todays Bashing Pictures at RC Hobbies in Naperville - 12-30-2007, 05:40 PM

Welp as I said I would get some pictures up of my bashing today. My neighbor and I both made it out for a few hours.. did break something but thats the fun part

So without all the talking here are some pictures..

The best part of it is they carry parts for my Axial IN STOCK. Now that makes me happy since most hobby stores dont carry parts. The only one I have found a few things is Al's which is where I got my bent links and white springs for the front. However, RC Hobbies has any OEM parts Specially this drivetrain that I busted today. He is ordering me those clips to keep it from popping out.

Here is a few more. I was busy changing things around throughout the day. Basically he gave me full range on how to set things up. Need more rock of course and he will have more soon enough. Every weekend I go in I am adding more "trails".

Ahh yes a few shots of a Modified Wheelie King.. He tried out his old stock tires today just to see how they would do. I am sure he is itching to get his Losi Claws like I am

Even one of the owners took out his truck and played a bit with us. Didnt last long. 3 mins into going up hill customer came in and picked up a Axial.. Its spreading

Thats all I got for today. I had a great time. Now time to fix the driveshaft and change a few things up.. I figured since I have nothing to do ill stop at Al's and then head over to RC Hobbies again to get some more drive time.

Things to do.. CUT CUT CUT.. I WAS RUBBING AND BINDING UP IT TICKED ME OFF! I took off the top and thats when I busted my driveshaft.. go figure

I might trim the foam a little bit. Though I used my friends tires and just got a little more traction but nothing huge.. maybe I will just wait for the Losi claws to get in.

Ahh hell who knows what else. . its just fun to keep messing with this thing

Another course?!?!?! SWEET.. I havent made it to Hobby Town in Naperville because the last time I was there it wasnt done yet. Besides that they dont have any parts that I need.

I mostly go to Al's and RC Hobbies. Ohhh and of course liesure hours since they tend to have stuff that others dont have

Its great to see this crawler thing take off the way it is. Hopefully a few more places with have some courses.. hell its just fun to visit and try everyones course out. The harder the better.. just have some parts so when I break something I can buy the parts and limp it home

Its right off I-88 on 59th.. head south its on the left hand side behind Wendys.. My neighbor told me about it and headed up there the other day.

In fact its like 10 mins north of Hobby Town in Naperville..

I also got to play with the new E-MAXX.. hehehe if my wife didnt kill me for buying another truck I would have picked it up.

You'll end up cutting the crap out of the Betty body till as much as mine, here's a pic of the Betty and my Nissan Titan body for mine, and a pic of the tuber i'm building from my other Axial kit! What days are ya at RC Hobbies, i'd like to come up one day most likely on the weekend? Maybe bring another guy with me along with our crawlers!? Later
Matt

I dont work there. So when I go up there its totally random.. But I usually try to get up there Sunday or Monday since those are my only days off.

I am probably going up there tomorrow for a few hours but have no idea when. I want to stop by Al's before we head up there.. My neighbor with the WK will probably come up there also.

I am sure we can all meet up there sometime..

BTW.. good job on the tuber.. and what overpass is that picture taken?

Ah I see. Maybe someday we'll get together up there?!

Thanks on the tuber!

RT 113 down south here west of Coal City where 113 crosses the Mazon River, my in-laws live right there on the corner by this overpass! Maybe when it warms up some y'all could come down here and we'll plan it to a few of the others from the site here to come!

Im up for that. Coal City huh? thats a little cruise down 55.. We will do it for sure!

Glad to meet some local guys thats for sure.. just found this website last night.. The one guy that bought a crawler at RC Hobbies today said he has 4 acres and lots of rock also.. who knows maybe yet another place to go.

Right now I like to just stay warm. If we head out to RC Hobbies again next weekend I will let you know.. I know they are closed for New Years.. tomorrow 10-4.. I think I will be up there around 1pm or so. The owner is a real nice guy and lets everyone tear it up.. even with the "house truck"

Thats not a bad idea also.. we could hit both up in the same day. Hell they are only 10 mins from each place...

I love having places to crawl during this winter time.. I use exhaust hose coiled up into a mess to create something at work to crawl over.

Yes slow time at a motorcycle shop = bullet in brain
