Was doing some searching and came across the 2006 thread. Anything like it happening this year? Sounds like fun from what I've read.

Yes it is.. I've ben meaning to start a thread over here and RCMX. Next one is April 13th thru 15th. CampMaxx happens 2x a year and 2 other events ShowMe Showdown and OctoberFest every year as well. Its a great time! I'm totally going to the next one. There is going to be a raffle. entry/camping fee is minimal. I think its like $20. not really hardcore camping. There is electricity there and an outhouse. RC racing classes are laid back and determined by what Rc's are here. Get at least 3 cars in any class and you are set. Usually there is 1/8 buggy, Truggy, MT's, 1/10 truck, and 1/18.

http://showmerc.com/newboard/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=28

directions here.. Its west of STL http://showmerc.com/newboard/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=112

John, interested in a caravan or car pool for the April one if you are going?

I know that the buggy would be considered illegal. 528xr might have something to do with that. But the truggy could be fun as its engine doesn't break any rules.

No problem with the 28 in the buggy. I ran mine with an XTM 247 and the NR 28. last year nobody minds. Usually the two Lake in the Ozarks guys Kit and Denny wipe the floor with everyone. lol!

I'd be interested in a caravan or car pool.. Camaro isn't the best for hauling 2 people RC stuff though its a tight fit depending on how much stuff is brought. We'll see who all is going when it gets nearer.

I've always got my Kia. Its a tight fit with a full compliment of RC's and clothes for 2 people but it works.

Not gonna do the first one(april in Stl. is a little chilly at night!!) But the showdown and ocktoberfest I will probably go.

And thirdgen, if you bring it you can run it. There are no restrictions. Last year we ran a truggy with buggys because the guy couldn't get his buggy started. Laid back group of guys so just bring everything.

Good, I don't think I'd have an advantage because of the 528xr anyways. Well...unless the back straight is about 300ft long. But I doubt that. I don't drive that good, just well enough to make it around the track on a consistent basis without creeping or flipping all the time.

I could use the track experience. A few hours a month at LHR doesn't do much for driving skills on a track.

well at the SMRC events you can run all night long.. then awake to the sound of more nitros.. lol! You basically can get all the track time you want.

Just read on the Showme site, with the planned date of April 6-8 falling on Easter weekend, a bunch of the guys will not be able to make it. They are changing the date of the first CampMaxx to April 13-15 (The following weekend).

haha.. man that was a fun one though. That was the Wild Turkey and Mountain Dew night.. lol. When all 3 of us piled our stuff into a Focus.

I'm going to go. I just have to finish up the bodies for my buggy and RC18T and get some spare parts to stock up a bit.

how aobut we get a list going so I can let the SMRC guys know how many are comming.

1: John SixVi6-camaro
2:
3:

Also when is everyone leaving.. we can caravan down there. I know the way there like the back of my hand. Not sure when I'm leaving at this point because of work. its better to leave friday mid afternoon so you miss the rush hour traffic leafing in Chitown and the rush hour through STL or else leave after Rush hour and get into STL late.
