I could only imagine how hilarious that would have been. A bunch of grown men, each picking an ant out of the bunch, and racing them...LMAO.
Rocco sitting in his room, staring at the floor, holding his favorite Futaba radio in his hand...in walks a passerby, who looks at the floor to see what the hell Rocco is looking at and sees a couple of ants running around. "Hey, look out, the leader is coming up behind you!" yells Rocco to the rest of the fellow ant racers. "What the F*ck!!!! I can't believe you just took me out you bastard!" Man, after looking at the pictures of the effort put into a good sized regional race, I realize that you guys that race "for real" aren't in the "hobby" class anymore. Mobilization and gear involved is like a full time job. I see that this RC thing will never be more than an occasional fun thing to do, for me. Taking it to the next level would never get an buy-in form the "CFO" of the household.
I do look forward to getting out to LHR in September when the Big Dogs come out to race. It should be quite a show!
