Transponder Question - 11-14-2004, 05:13 PM

Hi All,

Had such a good time racing last night... : Only thing that was a pain is the $%# was getting the transponder that ure supposed to have in time for the next race, and warming up the car without a radio (someone else was using the radio channel the race before). But if i had the transponder rdy to go in my truck the radio wouldnt be much of a issue since 3 mins should be enough time to get the truck running. Anyway where can i get my own transponder ? and what system do they use at leisure?

Thanks, Matt

The cheapest place to get them is at LH. Bernie sells them for 75.00. Thats really the cheapest. You can possibly find one on ebay but after shipping you are right about there.

They use AMB RC system. The ggod thing with your own transponder they will always have your number so the next time you go there, at registration tell them your name and your Transponder # automatically pops up. Now it is powered by your third channel on your receiver usually its empty, but if its not you have to get a y connector. Don't worry about it draining your Recv. Battery either it draws like .03 amps or something.
