Hill Climb (huge rocky, dirt hill, no grass here) - 11-02-2004, 01:19 PM

Who wants to do a Hill climb in Woodridge. I did it last year and I had a blast. It's super big, steep and realistic.

We could race up the hill or just see how far we can get. (I couldn't make it to the top)

Just thought it would be fun to do something different before it gets fridgid outside.

I'm guessing this is Woodridge South down by Naperville and such?

Yea, sounds pretty interesting. I'll actually be down in the Oswego/Montgomery area visiting my brother-in-law on Saturday.

Is there an address or anything by this HILL so I can get some sort of directions.

Sorry i forgot to post directions. here they are.
From I55 and rt.53 go north on rt.53 past Boughton about 1/2 mile. You will aee a blow up sports dome on your right hand side. Park in the Johansen farms parking lot and the hill is directly behind the sorts dome. If you need more directions LMK (like how to get to I55 and rt.53)

Me and a couple more members are meeting there this Sunday at 11am.

No good for me on a Sunday, Work.... I'd be up for a Hill Climb. It'd give me a reason to try out the Low gear ratio on the LST...

Rocky, dirty, somewhat loose. I haven't been there in over a year. You can choose different paths/ steepness. I've never made it up on the semi steep side. Not even close. But I think it could be done with the right set-up.

I just remember seeing Rusty's truck with the Bronco body and mashers climbing away and how realistic it looked......so cool

Weather is looking good too! mid 50's and mostly sunny

Sorry I didnt make it. I was working on my truck Sunday morning repairing the damage from Saturday. I had to pull the tranny and replace the reverse module I put in on Friday as I blew it up on Saturday and had no forward or reverse.

I have come to the conclusion that I will not be reinstalling a reverse module on my Savage, they are waaaaaaaaay to touchy.

I did the same thing, cracked my reverse module and took everything out. Believe or not but the truck is faster without the dam thing...

The reverse module for the savage is the best! As long as you don't try to make the switch while you're moving, it won't break. Mine is holding up very well, and I use it quite often too. Hell, I've thrown it in reverse and floored it to make revese jumps and stuff.

Sorry to hear you guys had problems with the reverse module.
