im not even gonna try and run against big blocks for drag racing. Il stick to racing them on the track were i can stand a better chance at beating them. Six with that 28 should slaughter the big block competition for sure. Il stick to trying to beat gabe again. hasnt worked yet but il eventually do it someday.

aahhhhhhhhhhhh dang. Oh well, I'll still give'em he!! on the blacktop.
I may have to consider a home made wheelie bar to keep the front end on the ground so I can accelerate with the whole motor not having to baby it off the line.

well I dont think it gunna be by the White Castle , they destroyed the parking lot .
LAst night we were in teh Kohls parking lot which is in the same mall just further south . Its really flat and nice for drag racing . One problem , there is a Retirement Village right there (OLD PEOPLE) so the days activites should proilly die down earlier than normal ( early 10pm normal 2 am)
Gino was also talking about Prarie State College parking lot to hold the event , I will be talking with him later today about it
Cant wait

Hey any of you guys goin to the RC show in Rosemont? Oct 16 - 17 (sat sun) I am going on Sunday with another guy we are leaving Lansing about 11am to go

yeah you to have the RCRSD's now. I'm all hyped to drop that .28 into the landmax. Plus I got some new goodies dirt cheap on ebay for the landmax.

Six, what class would you race in with the LM? 1/8 on-road? or Buggy? It wouldn't be against MT's, would it?

What Pipe are you going to run with the .28 in the landmaxx? low end or high end pipe? I bet you'd do 200ft pretty quick. A low end pipe might get you there quicker?

Hmmm... don't know. I'd get mopped up by 1/8 on roads because they are much lighter and have better traction than the landmax. probably with the 1/8 buggies because essentially the landmax is just a buggy. no on the MT's but I could get wheel wideners and drop MT wheels on.. lol.

I don't know on the pipe. I'm going to do some testing next weekend. I'm going to measure out 200ft in the parking lot I run in. Ohhh also I got a mini wireless camera and made a mount for the landmax. I'll get some wicked in car footage with it. lol.. its also fun to strap to the mini-t and drive all over the house just sitting in my room.. lol!

hmmm.. did some tinkering with the landmax, OPS .21, SH 86 pipe, firioni sliding clutch, 17t clutchbell, and 200ft. I need to get the landmax off the line a lot faster so a bit of clutch tuning is in order but I'm going to leave it because the .28 has sooo much more low end so I'll wait. Hopfully I'll get the .28 in the Landmax and see how quick it is this week. I tried the torque pipe.. and it limits RPM too much and RPM is needed on the big end. hehe.. mabey over the winter I'll build another .21 rear drive RS42. I already know how to make it work and make it stick.

just rear drive? I dont see how that would be possible without spinning out , unless your talking about gooping the tires with VHT or something or are you gunna put the 1/8 scale Serpent rear tires on your HPI?

Its all about traction, suspenson, and downforce. It took a while but I got it to work and work well. basically 2wd makes its a lot lighter, easier, and simpler. I found 4wd to be a waste for just going fast in a straight line anyhow because the front tires spin easily wasting power and the front always seemed to break easily. Then drop on some tall and fat rear foams, and large front and rear wings to keep it planted, soft rear suspension. It won't spin out at all. I was running a hyper 8 port on an RS4 2. all modded and set up nothing like stock with no front driveine at all. I basically got i all worked out so it stuck incredibly well and went like stink then the crystal vibrated loose and it went into a curb at high speed and I junked it after that. If I can get another RS42 cheap I'll do it again. I started to build a .21 RS4 3 but I had serious doubts on making it work reliably.

ohh yeah.. I forgot about the pics..

Here is the initial RWD only setup.

After this I got a nice rear wing on it and was running a junk accord body on it. then I dumped the body totally and ran a large spoiler on the front to keep the nose down and got the 1/10 truck foams on the rear and moved the RX pack to the nose.

Then just as a I got it all dialed... well yeah it lost a game of tag with a curb when the crystal vibrated loose and fell out.
