Camp Maxx ! Nov. 18th, 19th, 20th - 11-14-2005, 01:25 AM

Hey guys there is camping/racing in STL this weekend coming up if anyone is interested.
We all gather on Friday night (or Sat morning, whenever you can make it). That is like a Party night.
Saturday everyone starts practicing and the heats get run also.
Sunday are the Mains!

It's about a 4 1/2 to 5hr trip from Chicagoland to the track/camp site (not bad at all for a whole weekend)
And get this it's only $10 a person all inclusive. That is your camp fee, race fee, everything. That's $3.33 a day!
Firewood provided! Bring a tent or sleep in your car. Pit tables are already setup and ready. Electricity is readily available, enough outlets for everyone.
Bring your own food/drinks and camping supplies. I usually bring a light incase you want to tweak at night.

If you've never been to a CampMaxx before it's AWESOME!
YOU CAMP 30FT FROM A NICE BIG TRACK!

There is water, bathroom, everything. Regretfully, I won't be able to make this one. I wish but I just can't swing it.

I will for sure be hitting up the first one next season, you can bet on that! I've been there 4 times and it's soooo much fun each time.

Let me know if anyone has questions on details or anything. All the guys down there are cool and down to earth so even if you don't know them there is definitely nothing to worry about. You'll have fun I guarrantee!

They race anything that has at least 2 cars to make a class. Usually the bigger classes are UMT, SMT, and 1/8 buggy. They will also do electric and 1/10 gas truck, and even mix them if needed.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

no one? 50 people show up to Berwyn and not one person wants to go to a place 40 times funner? If I could go I would. I'm just broke. If someone wants to pay for me I'll ride down (if that's the only thing holding you back) I'm just simply broke and can't swing it (meaning beer, food, gas, race fee)

Yeah it can get silly but its all in good fun. Think about this.. Imagine running Rc's until 2am with Music cranked, fire pits around, ohh and drinkin fun. There are no neighbors, no cops, heck pretty much just corn fields, forest, and fields.

so much to do here - 11-16-2005, 11:21 PM

man that looks like a fun time, I was just up at Devils lake, can't swing another trip so soon, my wife would hide my tires er something, maybe even stop supporting my habbit, and with Christmas so soon, I can't risk it, but next year I AM IN. I tried to look at the page with the pix, but none popped up.

oh and to clear it up, I had nothing to do with the horse fly and the stick...lol

It's a great time down there. I am definitely going down for the first one of the year next spring. I will post up with plenty of time for anyone to plan it next year (around spring should be the next one).
We should try and get 10-20 people down there, it would be just killer then.
