I know that... lol But that list goes back long enough, that there wasn't 3 divisions in each league...

In all seriousness, I was curious. I have heard the comment for as long as I can remember, but never paid attention to who won, from what division, etc. If the Sox didn't make it, I didn't care who won. In fact, a few years ago, when the Sox got swept in the first round, I couldn't tell you who won the WS that year (Without looking at Roc's post)
