acetone method is what I use too. Just the fumes from the acetone will lossen the tire from the rim. If you really want to the get every ounce of glue off the rim soak the thing in acetone overnight. Just a word of warning though.. Some Rims actually DISSOLVE in Acetone and some tires also harden up or begin to fall apart in the stuff.
