If this is a new hobby for the boyfriend and you dont want to spend that much money, I would suggest an HPI Dash. They have several different body styles and are battery powered. You can find them online for around $100.00 or so. You can find them at the local hobby shop for about $120.00 to $140.00 depending on where you go. Plus the HPI Dash comes with everything you need to run it, i.e. battery, charger, controller, etc..

These are just a few of the models you can get, they also have a lambo, a nascar and a few others I believe.
