I have been seeing some 8th scale electric buggies. I think I understand what it takes to build one from the electronics/motor/battery point of view. But I don't knw much about the 8th chassis that are out there, especially having been out of racing for a while and never into nitro.

So, the question I have is what chassis would be good choices. From the point of view that it is a decent/great ride, doesn't break in stupid ways, is economical, and has parts that can be easily obtained now and likely far into the future. Maybe some OFNA/Mugen/777/etc that I see lots of on eBay for low prices? Maybe the 8ight because parts are probably plentiful for a while? Any suggestions for a list of candidate chassis?
